Our Business Travelers are very special to us. We have developed many friendships with the visitors that return on a regular basis and offer very personal service that is difficult to find at the chain hotels. Joan has been making our business guests' stay comfortable and relaxing for over 15 years and has catered to their many special needs. Breakfasts start early to make sure your day begins with a good start. We offer wireless internet service, comfortable and exceptionally clean (but not sterile) rooms with private baths all on the main floor (no elevators). There are no long walks from the parking lot or down dark hallways. The living room and dining room offer space for doing work or relaxing. the people that stay here are friendly and usually have great stories.
The Millpond Inn is located within walking distance of the Village of Clarkston's downtown. Clarkston is exceptionally safe with people walking in town late at night. We have 3 restaurants close enough to walk to. The Woodshop - Casual but was just named Restaurant of the Year, 2011 by the Detroit Free Press. Mesquite Creek Steakhouse - Excellent steaks and seafood. Great wine list. The Clarkston Union - a popular Detroit area watering hole with a very large selection of beers. Great food.

Being 2 blocks from I-75, makes the Inn well located to many areas in the Detroit Metro Community including Auburn Hills, Oakland University, Rochester, Troy, Pontiac, Waterford, Lake Orion, Commerce, Holy, Flint, even Downtown Detroit is only 35 minutes away.
